    I've only seen 2 of his movies and a few interviews but his talent, intelligence and dignity was obvious in a time when there was so much hate. Loved the subtle symbolism in the final scene of 'In the Heat of the Night'.

    One of his best early movies, To Sir with Love.

    Watching this brings back many nostalgic memories. The electric guitar at 1.45...heaven.
