    Hi all,

I inquired about a property advertised on realestate first day it went up (Friday). It had no address, and not much info at all. Monday I heard back from the agent saying that property was already sold.

I feel like he is fishing for contact details, and that there was no property. Is this likely? Has anyone else had similar experiences?

    No, not likely at all.

Yes, if you don't call Friday when you see the listing, plenty of others do and it will be sold at the first Open on Saturday. If you call on Monday, you'll get the same news you got. (in a fast moving market).

Yep - especially in a hot market.

    Cheers

Called Friday, and the agent didn't even know the address, was to call me back in 10 minutes. which added to my thinking that it was fishing

This is very normal in a hot market. Many properties don't even get advertised at all but are rather sold off-market to regular buyers the agents are in contact with.
