You do not pay stamp duty on the disposal of property.

My conveyancer is ~$770 from memory.

Where are you located? Selling costs vary by suburb and property type.

I just sold a house in Melbourne.
    No.

1.5% of the sale price + marketing. I paid nearly $4,000 for marketing. Total waste of money. You can save a lot of money if you do many of these things yourself. I don't mind paying if I get a quality product but nearly $4k bought me a very average campaign. I paid for:
    - a floor plan. It was below average
    - professionally written advertising text. It was terrible and incorrect
    - professional photos. They were below average and too few

Tell the agent you will provide all the above if you want better quality at a lower price.

My conveyancer charged $830 + ~$100 in disbursements. Very good service.

Others have really talked about 1 & 3.

RE: REA Cost - depending on location, how the market is (is it hot?) and price point will all be factors into what commission the REA will ask for. Typically it will be between 1-2% + gst, however if you are selling a $50,000 block of land in the middle of no where they will charge more. The 1% is more for the 1M plus properties.
