ASX Shares Sell TAB to Buy AFIC or VAS?

Hi,

As the heading says I’m interested in selling TAB to top up current holdings in AFIC and or VAS.

Do any of you smart investors have any thoughts on this?

there is a demerger coming up for TAB so I’m not sure how this will effect the share price.

I would prefer to put it into an LIC or ETF, hit the reinvest button and look at it again in 30 years. So, the question is more about when should I sell Tab?

I know timing the market is near impossible but just wondering if the demerger is likely to benefit the share price.

In short I don't know a lot about TAB, however any news of the demerger will likley already be baked into the share price so I'd be surprised to see anything dramatic.

In a similar theme, I've progressively been selling down my individual holdings over the years too and moving to ETFs such as VAS for the ease of set and forget, and not having to worry about individual company announcements.
