i have decided it maybe cheaper to put a security grill/ bars on my IP back two windows myself than paying a Company to come out and measure and put them up.

I cant see security window grills on bunnings website, anyone know a place in Sydney that sells them if i give them a measurement?
Its only the back kitchen window and a side window, i will probaly get a handyman to put them up .
I thought Bunnings or Masters have them?

You mean grills/bars like a jail?
I've seen these but wonder what legal consideration there'd be if the tenants died due to not being able to escape through those windows if the only ones possible during a fire?

Guess there'd have to be some form of hinge and internal emergency release latch?

    What about security shutters?

No internal exit latch needed, i mean the same type of grille as a security screen door, only i want the white color and will go over the window.
