Anyone had to do one of these and if so how long did it take?

Just received the quote from the lawyers which was $1000 so no concern there but kept reading to the exclusions and the fee for any works outside the scope and must say I am a little scared.
The exclusions include "attending meetings" and "lengthy and numerous phone calls". We are talking about dealing with council here! How on earth can this be avoided. haha

An easy way to save money on legal fees is to use the Council's template section 173 agreement, which just gets customised (generally in the schedule). This should cut back on the time your lawyers spend working on it.
