I bough a small amount of FMG, MIN, BHP (beginners luck :)) and a few in Oct and most just about to hit my sell stops.

Hey @Piston_Broke yes, mt5 allows to short them on leverage, though the leverage has greatly decreased from what it used to be. Still, more than enough for my liking:)

Great buys btw!! Fmg what a star! Looks like your bullish metals and minerals.

Are you thinking to short anything given what's happening with the equities?

MIN did even better up 60%, FMG 46%, BHP 27%, Rio 21%.
    SOL -12%, WBC- 5%.
I just bought 30% dips and low PEs thinking it was overdone.
I'm very afraid of shorting equities lol, it's a bit strange from a forex trader, but there's lots more volatility. Then add 20x leverage...
    And a 2.5% swap

I hear you regarding the volatility ofcurrency....re equities I just see so many potential opportunities I can't help myself though. I am though watching like a hawk price movements because we all know a skip on the SL when shorting can be......very...very bad..

With Tesla and US tech stocks a tweet can send it up or down 10% or more lol.
Index is a different thing to stocks though. I did miss the last short.
XJO has a nice double top, I may short a retracement if I get the right moment.
I'm purposely trying to minimize screen time and not worry about single trades, If I miss it something else will come along.

With billions lost in Crypto and the ASX, will that mean people put more into RE or will sheep pull out of RE as they fear it too may lose value.

Money has got to go somewhere. My guess is moderate risk assets with relatively good stability.

And just like that, the stocks are sold.
Not much to rave about other than I most likely beat the market and ETFs for the financial year in 4 mths. More beginners luck.

The billions are gone...nothing left to invest.
If they are leveraged they will have to sell stocks and RE as well to pay interest. Or spend less to hold on.
There is still al ot of dumb money out there and the big question is HOW will that capital move to the smart, quick and shysters.
Crypto, NFTs have already taken a chunk.
Trading and betting scams have been getting in on the action.
So the plot to guess is how will all the noob ETF money move to the experienced players.
Dividends and rates may be the play.
6% interest and 2% divs will bring many these "FIREd" and noobs back to the workforce to pay tax and prop up the system.
And keep the average RE investors on the line for another 10yrs of work.

You do realise that you just cost someone $25k by shorting no?

I hate shorting, should be banned.
    Despicable IMO.
