    My PM just sent me a link to this. Has anybody else heard about these proposed changes or read through this document already? The full paper is quite lengthy (~235 pages). Seems as if many of the proposed changes favour the tenants (what a shock), though I haven't read through it all yet.

    Proposed reforms include:
    - the removal of the 'no specified reason' notice;
    - pets permitted in rental properties without landlord consent;
    - increased notice periods for change of use terminations;
    - mandated minimum property standards;
    - limited access to rental properties being sold.

    The proposed reforms are just 'proposed' ('items up for discussion') at this stage. Hopefully there are more well-balanced outcomes at the end of it.

    There's no way that would be passed.. I'm an animal lover, but no way would expect any pet to be granted residency without some sort of screening/application.
    This should have been brought in a long time ago, imo

    I presume you mean more landlord friendly amendments. Did you have any in mind that you wanted?
