Take back all of the grants and redraw. I don't think that'd make anyone happy either.

It's ok, labour's politicians are out of jail now and so they can campaign again.

Maybe they could promise free 100Mb internet for everyone.

Federal ICAC would be a good start...

Why would they want a federal watchdog? It'd only expose their corrupt dealings:

Whether or not this had a material effect on the election is irrelevant - it's the intent that matters. Seems like blatant political corruption to me and further evidence that we clearly need a strong federal ICAC.

So developer contributions are banned but contributions for development in marginal seats are corrupt.

You're normally a very sensible chap, so I think this might be a bit tongue in cheek. On a serious note, I'm sure you would agree that the use of government funds for obvious party political purposes is not acceptable in a proper democracy (for any political party, Labor included). This is banana republic stuff.

Great reasons to have a strong federal ICAC. Also note that list doesn't include Sir Joh, because he was too old to try. His achievements alone would dwarf most of that list. :D

We need to drain the swamp. A federal ICAC would be a good start.
