I've written about the repercussions extensively.

Google "Hot Rod Internet Australia" if you want any further reading.

Thanks guys for sharing the thread for spruiker in Australia.

It surely helps people to stay away from this scammer.

If they are really a spruiker, then why those people who got burned or scammed not report them to ASIC or ACCC ?

You are very right. There is no regulation and therefore no accountability ...

If you have 100 people in the room, you pick out the winning horses to market why your product/service as such a good thing. The people who lose out don't get marketed.

A solution will be a two way street - empower the people (or "victims" as you say) and also regulate the businesses with harsher consequences. Unfortunately the authorities are toothless tigers and some of the fines issued are like you or I being fined 2 cents.

If there are no harsh consequences for your actions, you'll just keep doing the same thing, thinking there is nothing wrong with what you are doing. Its human nature unfortunately.

I know nothing is all good, or all bad ..... and there are genuine successes created from some of these products/services. What I am concerned about is the trail of destruction left behind....when it goes wrong for people often the emotional/financial damage incurred takes them years to get over.

Is this Google search meant to return any results other than websites about hot rod cars? I'm a bit confused!

Hot Rod Internet. It's on their opening page about why the ".com.au " is different from ".com".
