He is one of the all time greats at rythmn guitar and also happened to be the driving force behind a little aussie band called AC/DC.

His skill was not what he put in, but what he left out. Many guitarists are tempted to fill or be constantly busy. Malcolm did write great riff's but his biggest skill was that he would let things hang, not choke of a chord, allow for space between chords etc.

Poor Angus - lost both his big brothers in the space of a month

George from the Easybeats, who wrote numerous AC/DC songs, and now Malcolm

Australia's most successful band. Acca Dacca . He will be sorely missed.

A Scottish immigrant who once lived in Villawood NSW. He'll be with his brothers and Bon Scott..."it's a long way to the top if you wanna rock n roll"

The sad thing is not just his death - it's also his years living with dementia. He stopped performing in 2014 when his then unspecified illness made it impossible to continue - which means that the symptoms must have been evident and increasing for some time, possibly years, before that. That can be a very difficult for both himself and all those close to him.

He also had lung cancer which was successfully treated by surgery.

    Yes your right.
In an interview his brother Angus noted the deterioration of his brother forgetting songs etc.
I think this is perhaps early onset of dementia? not sure, he was only 64. Pretty sad none the less. What a terrible disease.
