Not sure if we have many basketball fans here, but I’m sure everyone has heard the news about the passing of one of the best if not the best basketball player of all time.

Tragic that he is gone so young in an unfortunate accident but made even worse when it turned out his 13 year old daughter was with him and also passed away.

Such sad news really makes one re evaluate the important things in life. Don’t sweat the little stuff people and appreciate life for what it is because things can change in an instant.

Take care of yourselves and your loved ones.

    RIP Kobe.

And the seven other people that died in the crash that the media don't even bother to mention. Sad.

It was reported that a trainer or manager of another sporting team, his wife and daughter were also killed, and two others whose identifies are not yet confirmed or released to the media.

I'd guess perhaps some family members may not yet have been informed.

But I get your point. Kobe Bryant is a big celebrity and it seems most of the reporting has been about him. But the other family has been named.

It’s sad when anyone passes and I believe there has been some information about some of the others released. But the media focus will always be the on the celebrity. Right or wrong that’s a debate for another thread.
