I don't think much about money as I don't have much money to think about.

What are the numbers needed to be in the 1%, 5%, 10%?
How is this calculated, is it investable/liquid assets outside of the ppor?
Is it literally all assets minus liabilities?
I’ve always been wary of these ranks due to the rubbery prerequisites!

I've always worked on liquid physical assets (none of this "book" stuff) less liabilities ... but agree, is rubbery

Some of the people wealthiest in this county you wouldn't think the haven't 2 pennies to rub together, dressed in torn clothes , farmers and so on . Time for people and friends with people in all walks of life that’s real wealth , comfortable in their money no need to display wealth .

Despite their wealth they know life isn’t about material possessions, it’s about the things no amount of money will buy

fakers bluffers and climbers in the burbs driving flash cars on credit and living in a crap house but just because it’s in a certain postcode, to keep a pretence of wealth, Basically about 1/3 of the eastern suburbs , are Absolute doses

I live in the Eastern Suburbs and most of the people I know here are hard working, family people. Most either have high paying exec jobs or run businesses. I find most to be friendly enough but of course you get the odd rotten egg. For the most part, I find folks in the area to be fine. Many groups in the area tend to be established in certain circles and usually interact a lot with other family in the area which I think is fine and like many other suburbs.

It's hard not for your wealth to be displayed in the Eastern Suburbs when your average home can exceed 4mil. By virtue of literally living and owning a home in the area, it says you're wealthy. And who doesn't like a nice car...(PC even has a luxury car meet up drive). I wouldn't hold that against anyone living here.

Unfortunately I can't post an accurate description of what describes you. It would get deleted right away! :D

"Unless UR living on the Edge UR taking up too much room" I endorse this quote from a Stock trading site I frequent. It's apt for the Trading side of share investing. But I would contradict this if it were quoted on a Property Investors site I think the oft quoted - from some singer's song "You gotta know when to hold'em---- etc etc " is the appropriate one for this Site. Bye I gotta get back to "shares" trying to grab some cheap oppies.

I don't worry about making more - I enjoy making more. It's the challenge of it! It's just a game, really.

I feel rich - I work from anywhere, have retired hubby and have a measure of freedom from 'having' to work. But I have nowhere near $60M...tbh, I don't think having that would make me feel much wealthier than I already feel.

PS - I'd love nothing more than to have a full-time house keeper. If we can't get home I'm seriously thinking of moving to Bali for that exact reason.

    A couple

One in particular is worth more than this, drives an average car, lives in Syd, average area.
Just choice, how this person chooses to live. Prior to covid ….. would travel frequently overseas.

Perhaps you're perception of the issue is a little maligned and hence asking the wrong questions....

I think about money/wealth in a similar manner to health or fitness. How much is enough then becomes rather benign as it's not really a practical viewpoint and it is relative to your individual circumstances, not others.

Try changing your perspective... if you think on this deeply as inferred above, you may find the insight you seek.
