My Mother-in-law lives in a retirement village, run by a large global company.

Her villa (and others) backs onto the unloading area of commercial/retail type operations which trade seven days per week.

One of the businesses is a very large retail superstore which has high volumes of goods being delivered and unloaded.

There have been a number of issues with regard to noise before/after hours, but her greatest concern is cardboard and flammable rubbish being stored overnight next to the back wall of her patio (which adjoins her villa). As the area where they are storing this is at the back of the retail premises, it is hidden from the street front, so it is visited by “undesirables”. Fires have occurred previously.

Is this something that should be dealt with by the village management, and addressed to the Council? Anyone else?

    All suggestions welcome.

That's a matter to be taken up with Council by management. The developer/tenant should have covered this off in their Development Approval.
