Hi, there’s termites in one of the timber retaining wall in the backyard, so I want to replace this with non- timber. Who do I call to fix this? Carpenter? Landscaper or handy man? Sorry complete novice here so no clue. Thanks

You can still build a new retaining wall with treated pine. Depending on height and length, your options range from a handyman to a licensed builder.

We called Hire-a-hubby (coz this hubby had no idea) for a 3 sleeper height retainer.

They can go to concrete, but they are different length to timber sleepers, so you would most likely need to reposition the verticals.

We replaced ours with hardwood sleepers.

It depends on the height of the existing wall.
The higher it is the more experienced a person you need for it and various products need various people. For example if you want to replace it with panel and post and it's less than 600mm high then you can probably get a fencer to do it

The height of the retaining wall is about a meter max. (Looks like less than a meter really)

At around a meter height, you need a licensed builder. I wouldn’t use a landscaper or fencer for a retaining wall this high.
