  3. It certainly is still very tight in Inner West Sydney. Anything well priced is being snapped up very quickly.

    Interesting to ask PM's about vacancy rates, as I travel around different parts of Sydney. Regarding the north shore, it seems that anything up to high hundreds is still difficult to find quality property, but at $1000+ per week interest wanes significantly. One agent I spoke to had dropped the asking rent from $1800 to $1200 wk to secure a tenant, after a long period of vacancy (almost 6mths).

    My view is that to assist - that the govt should look at wiping out stamp duty for investors.
