Recommendation on handyman - Western Sydney

    Have had bad luck with handymen in Western Sydney (seems to calling all scums of society) with taking 3 months to do simple work (after taking deposits), causing more damage than work and running off and refusing to give invoices (3 problems by 3 different tradies)

    Anyone here recommend anyone in western Sydney

    At the moment need a carport installed (kit carport bolted onto slab)

    Hi Gach2 try Airtasker.
    I needed a few different jobs done for an investment property but didn't have any contacts for reliable tradesmen. I tried Airtasker and found it quite useful- you post an ad and different people who are capable of carrying out the job make a bid to win your job.
    You choose who you would like to offer the job to.

    They get rated by the people who use their service after every job, which gives a good indication to their reliability.

    I also asked make sure they can issue tax invoices and are fully licensed / insured before offering the job to them.

    Airtasker is great, u dont release funds until the job is done !
