We are constructing our new house with one of the project home builders.
We would like to get the building inspection done during the process.
I am seeking some recommendations if you have used a experienced building inspector who is appropriately qualified & found them to be good.

There are threads in recent days on this. The builder may refuse site access and require WHS induction and so forth and may be permitted to ignore anything they report. Many will impose hefty fees for you imposing changes to the contracted terms. What does your contract say about defects ? Have you asked a lawyer what the contract says ?

The NSW Govt in recent days has indicated the failure of specialist reports as there is no obligation to make good other than in the warranty period when the defects may have been covered up (eg Opal tower concrete issues). And contracts give no right to access site. Once upon a time the bank insisted on claim inspections and now nobody cares. Certifiers are being paid by (some) developers to not see stuff.

Thread : Major structure fault identified during construction. Builder doesn't even want to see it.
