I am currently looking for a new PM. I was ready to sign up, but when I read their agreement, they do not use realestate.com to advertise property and only use domain. I asked if they can do both, and they said it’s a high cost for them and they get applicants via domain and never had a problem.
This property is in regional NSW and my options are limited. My question is what people’s thoughts are on this. By not using realestate.com, am I limiting the number or quality of applicants? For the PMs on this forum, where do you mostly get people enquiring from?

I used to only use RE.com.au to search for properties, and now I think domain is better as you can map view with min land size which RE.com.au cannot do. some listing are also in domain and not RE.com as it is cheaper.

drifting away ..I think renters use both.

I would definitely use both, as in Sydney I'm finding it maybe 60% RE and 40% Domain. The RE subscription is a high cost however for small agents.

Why don't you list with the agent on Domain and then if you're not getting any good applications, pay for one of the DIY listing portals ($150~). Direct the enquires to the agent to vet.

Thanks for your replies. I am still undecided. Anymore insights from the PMs out there?

If you want someone that lists with RE.com then just use a different PM? Seems like an obvious fix to me.

I find each has a different demographic - some areas are Telegraph/Herald Sun readers so will instinctively use RE, others are The Age/Herald will migrate to Domain. So I am a fence sitter and target the advertising dollar to the reader.

I wouldn't touch an agent who doesn't use Realestate.com with a ten foot barge pole. They're admitting that they aren't visible to over 50% of the market!? It's not THAT expensive.

RE.com at the top of your search - change from list view to map view.
The sqm Min size is found under the filters.
