Surprised the folks didn't reconsider staying put in the house after the staging! Looks like a new home!

Haha! That's the illusion of good staging. You would not actually want to sleep on some of the beds. They are strictly for demonstration purposes only ;)

Really though, the farm has got a bit much for them to maintain. They are downsizing to a much smaller block.

Settlement finally happened to today after many delays. Parents are very relieved.

Yeah, sometimes it's just the old doona on top of the milk crates trick.
    New doona cover of course.

Out of interest, the purchaser attended the first home open and put an offer an based on that. Freshening up a house for sale works.

What's your opinion of the Perth market, or is it markets within markets?

Some areas have dropped a lot and seem to be going down. Other areas have dropped a bit but not a lot, for example where I want to buy a PPoR (of course). Problem is that every man and his dog are looking to buy there which is why prices won't drop much.

    So... $2.5K for staging
    Plus paint
    Plus carpet

    Total around $15K

I think if you pumped that much into any home it would look fantastic and much more modern.

We are looking at staging ourselves in the next few weeks. Loads of work in it! But hopefully it will pay off. Thankyou for the photos and the inspiration.
