I tell the kids it's their fault for my weight. :)

OK Lil, it's on! Can your 24 year old metabolism beat my crusty old 54 year old metabolism?

Fair call, I know that my weight can fluctuate by up to 4kg per day. I didn't actually do this for my initial weigh in, so I'll do my future weigh ins at night as well. As long as it's consistent it doesn't really matter, in my opinion.

It's one of my least favourite aspects of being short - that the weight gets crammed between my middle and looking preggo.
I'm between you and lil in age but on par for height etc.

    Who else here hates cardio?
I'll take resistance training and short intervals any day.

Building muscle is better for burning fat anyway. I'm thinking of getting my weights out of the garage and doing squats. Won't help with weight loss, but it will help with fat loss.

Sorry if I get out of topic, but what is best for combating fatigue? Am terrible at cardio, can't run... I'll jog for about 2 mins on the treadmill, then brisk walk mostly.

    Are these the Shirataki noodles

How To Cook & Like Shirataki Noodles | The KetoDiet Blog

Agree, my first weigh in at 106kg was after a roast dinner
Today I jumped on the scales at 105.1kg after a big breakfast
Will see what Monday brings, hopefully i remember to weigh in first thing in the AM

Training has been mixed bag i.e.on various days

Rowing on C2 rower, some interval sprints, clean and jerks (60,70, 80kg) 1.9k jog (pace 6:05) circuit just wasn't quiet 2k

This morning was sprints on treadmill, then
Box jumps, weighted o/h lunges, push-ups, butterfly sit ups, thrusters, slam ball, rower, kettlebell swings

Will see how quick I can get a 1k row out over each week on the C2 rower (should be 3:40 for the record, as the numbers keep going once you stop)

This "sort of" answers your question, but is worth watching anyway: Catalyst: Fit in 6 Minutes a week - ABC TV Science
The simple answer is: More exercise.

I make a point of weighing myself each day after I get up. Consistent time and clothing (if any) is important.

On a side note I have actually lost a bit of weight in the past week or two as I am getting rid of the last of my late 30's fat ring around my stomach, am at 73.7kg today.

Just got myself a C2 recently.
Would probably vomit after attempting a 1k, but may have a go and use it as a bench mark over the remaining 11 weeks, might get some fitness up.
    I'm a sprinter, not a stayer.

May be more consistent if we all jump on the scales in the morning?
I have height but still carry the look of expectancy - even when in the healthy range. o_O seems to be certain intolerances that become more noticeable with weight and age.
Off to do a 2 hr walk now.
    Time for some dog shots:

I've never been a fan of jogging or cross country running, but I don't mind a 30 minute bike ride.
I didn't mind a little bit of sprint training when I was younger.

Just got my weights out of the garage. I'm pretty sure that 80kg has gotten significantly heavier over the last decade! I'd really struggle to squat that now and forget about trying to curl it! :(

Are we reporting in tomorrow morning? I also weigh myself first up, birthday suit, empty bladder, spit into the sink to lose any extra weight before stepping on the scales :D:p.

If my weight is higher than I am hoping for, sometimes I step off and on again. I don't know why I do that, because it NEVER changes.

I know I've put on a little this week and it is the fault of the series Fortitude. It forced me to eat some late night snacks. I had no choice :D.
