    Hi All,

I was considering doing a course around Project Management or Property Development.

I'm looking to further my knowledge and maybe get qualifications that would help me get a job in the industry as my current job is not very intellectually stimulating or fulfilling what-so-ever.

    Thanks,
    Arc

Check with your local MBA as I know in NSW they do a pretty good course. UDIA also have a development course which gives you points you can use towards a diploma in something.

    Professional Development - UDIA NSW

I have zero pieces of paper but my boss is pretty understanding about that :p

Rob Flux was recently interviewed and mentioned he'd done a few courses. Reckon he'd be a good one to ask. Good luck.

    Thanks for the suggestions all.

I'm certainly learning alot by being actively engaged.

Would something like an Architecture course help?

    Like a Bachelors degree? Unlikely.
If you want to learn how to design then tafe run a drafty course which is pretty good as it teaches you a lot of building basics - ie you need to learn all the components of a roof to be able to draw it.

Diploma of Building Design - CPP50911 - TAFE NSW

Yeah, I wasn't thinking a bachelor's, just like an entry for the fundamentals, what you've linked sounds great though!!

I've done a few units of that course. It's rather good but I didn't finish it.

I've listened to Rob Flux on FB a fair bit and he seems like a very ethical and genuine fellow. He runs his own course which is by application only. He only works with a small group. I'm not sure if they are taking any more students this year. He admits his course is not cheap and requires a lot of hard work and dedication. If I was interested Development, I'd seriously look into his course.
Listen to him on Facebook first then decide.

Being organised helps. I had a kid come to me sayING he’s happy to work for me finding and renovating properties If I put in all the money, he keeps his full time job and we split the profits 50/50. Came aged 28, millionaire aged 34, now starting his own development company in Melbourne. Neither of us have any tertiary qualifications I’m a Real estate agent (never practised) he’s a licensed electrician, never worked as an electrician except in our developments.

Would love someone to supply the capital and I embark on my development dreams, so many opportunities to get creative!

You need to get in front of some developers and show them your deals. I've just employed a woman in Vic who brought me a profitable development site. I'm paying her to manage the parts of the development that need someone on the ground.
