Private buying/selling allotment in land release

    I was talking to a sales guy regarding a land release in Melbourne suburbs and he mentioned that if I wanted, I could on-sell the land to another person through private sale. How do you find a buyer privately if you don't personally know someone interested in buying it. And how do you find such sellers? I would think the price asked by such sellers will be slightly lower than what is asked by the developers, right?

    I re-sold before prior to settlement for $20k uplift on a land only OTP lot. I sold through the original selling agent when prices moved.

    Another option is to befriend a good home builder sales rep and get them to package up a 2-part contract on your block of land and give them a $5k referal if they can move it for you. If they package up with fixed price home build, you might be able to get more than what you paid.
