WA PPOR under 300k in Perth

    I see, thank you. Is there any preferential material to look for, like e.g., red bricks, limestone blocks, etc?

    Houses to me seem to last about 50 years (well the old ones did).
    After about 25 years they need money spent on them to freshen them up. Tile patterns change, bathroom designs, kitchen finish etc
    Some of those older units/house are not open plan which is popular now.
    They can also have exposed brick inside which I don't like but others do, render is cheap. Also there was a period when arches were popular apparently they are expensive to remove.
    I like red brick :) Also look at how cement is between the bricks ie signs of fretting.
    Also have a good look at the roof condition. Repointing a tile roof is a $1000 plus job (but is a diy option)
    Either factor into buy price or buy what you want. Alterations/renovations can be expensive.
