    Good stuff.
Do you have a timeline for when you would like to have it complete?

Why are there so many steel posts supporting the edge rafter to the roof over the deck? Are you going to build another level on top? :p

How about some windows to the left of the bottom door?
Agree needs lower deck or something down there
    Nice big doors.
Iron fretwork would be cool but expensive i imagine.
A timber or other material fence but with nice detail on it would be nice
I love qlder houses. I'd never go back to a brick at least not for many many years.

20160914_155625.jpg 20160914_174935.jpg Got some more rafters up today. Only 4 more to go. Upper deck is coming along nicely.

Should get the rest of the rafters up tomorrow.

Oh and here is the random pecan tree in the backyard. It loses its leaves in winter so doesnt look too great right now. But I reckon a tree house would ruin the tree. Lol I already have enough house I dont need to spread more house into the surrounding trees.

Meh I dont know Im not a builder haha some of this crap I just do because its on the plans. But it cant hurt. 5m drop off that back deck so if Ive got some really well supported posts and deck rail then that cant hurt.

I think maybe its so the back deck roof has a bit more rigidity? But yeah Im just winging it here haha

I have no idea hey. Its just so massive so it takes so much time. Its really difficult to show how big it is in pictures. My brother in law was trying to take some pictures the other day and commented that he just couldnt get it all in the pic. He said when its too big to get in the pic that shows just how big it is.

Plus Ill be doing a really detailed finish inside, so pressed metal and proper timber work throughout, etc... is going to take a lot of time. And I want my bubble wall in my nice timber bar with copper pressed tin ceiling, so that room is going to take a while to make it proper english pub level of finish.

Im hoping to have it weather tight in maybe 2 or 3 months. I reckon to get it absolutely finished 100%, so thats all the extra bits like fountains and bali hut and car port, etc... will be 12 to 24 months away.

Ill have to take a new pic of the front of the house. Lots of plants growing that are filling in some of those spaces.

Thanks. Yeah me and my wife work pretty hard on the place. Definitely helps motivates you when you arent working all alone. Plus she keeps reminding me that she wants her new kitchen already. God some women. Is 7 years really that long to wait for a functional kitchen that isnt bits and pieces thrown together... :D

So we might finish our reno and house raising before you - but haven't even started yet ;)
Will be like a mini-me version of yours.

Downstairs deck looks pretty cool with the deck above it now. Different feel to it now. 20160917_155611.jpg 20160917_155633.jpg

    Ah, nice one.
I was up here when we had 27,28 and 29 not that long ago, was a bit worried it was going to be pretty hot by now. Lovely weather for the warmer spa this weekend.

Started putting together one of the bifold doors that goes in that left corner. Got it ages ago from ebay for 1300 but have to fully assemble ourselves. Putting that thing together is enough to start ww3. At least now I know a bit more so the second one should be easier.

They look tiny compared to the ceiling height!
What's so complex about putting them together btw?
