Noob question. Wondering if a PPOR house and land build mortgage.. are there any lenders in which the interest is capitalized during the build till completion?
None that I'm aware of. You could structure it that way if you want to, basically borrow more to account for the progress payments, or you could purchase a 'balance on completion' style package instead of a house and land package from a builder. If there is a sale of your existing ppor a couple of lenders have a bridging product that might suit, but you can only capitalise bridging loans until the old one is sold.
Likewise in SA the govt owned funder will do this - but enjoy jumping through the hoops and the interest rates applicable.
