I'm not trying to be a know it all - but there is a high chance of hitting limestone on this block. Just ask the idiot who hit it across the road

Why are a lot of these corner blocks a silly shape in perth in certain areas?
    Why not standard rectangle/square block!!
Is it a sign of the era the certain estates were built in?

I have seen some in other cities, but for some reason i am noticing them more in Perth suburbs.

They managed to get that pool in at some point so maybe they have done the hard work already.

There was a pool on my block too and so I assumed all would be ok but it wasn't. :(

All corner blocks will have a truncation at the corner so that visibility can be maintained by cars. But I agree this one is quite a bit more than normal. Might be because of the angled way the 2 roads intersect. It doesn't make it easy when it comes to design - it's a bit too deep. Much better to have a longer shallower block.

That listing kept appearing in my searches even though my price filter was $200k less than the asking price.
Was driving me insane seeing it all the time! Wish I had the coin for it to be my PPOR!

Great buy at that price, pricefinder pending sales says it sold for asking price, but I'm assuming it sold above surely.

I'm waiting patiently for the buyers priced out of Mt Pleasant to hop across the river to Salter Point/Manning.
    I've just finished a 4 x 3 x 2 near Aquinas and need some people with $$$ to buy it :)

It’s a WA thing to have truncation from a very long time ago. I never saw it in Qld. I’m still trying to work out too if they made larger blocks when part of the block wasn’t flat in the 60’s to 80’s. Freaked out a bit with suburbs with hills!

Reading through these threads I remember reading about your build...You are going to be very happy when you see what 9a on the street sold for.

Haha, you worked it out! No, one day maybe...doing some reno’s. I’ve redesigned the front yard to tropical gardens. Have some ideas for front fence.
