Pool over sewer: how. QLD

    I'm aware of the 1m horizontal clearance for building a pool near a sewer, but I want to build OVER it. I'm happy to have an elevated pool if its required, I don't know the depth of the sewer yet.

    I'm sure anything is possible - What do I need to do to do this? We are well clear of the access hole. I have to check the connection points, but I suspect they aren't an issue either.

    My understanding is that you encase the sewer in concrete. But gee, there'd be a LOT of weight involved in a pool full of water. Maybe send a PM to Darryl (RPI)?

    I've got plans being drawn up first - ill see how much room we have, but the pool and kitchen will be fighting for space

    Talk to quu about structural relining. have you got the sewer plan? Get a drawing with a section man hole to man hole. I'll pm you ;)

    Actually water weighs less than soil. ..but the concrete is extra, plus disturbance to the pipe
