You could de-clutter via Ebay, Facebook or Gumtree. Yes, only small amounts, but they add up, especially if you've got a lot. Someone else here is Ubering....could that be a solution?

Not at the moment, we are in 1 bed apartment. Would be keen to see the airbnb option when we move out though. Won't be doing it on the new PPOR as we dont like the idea of staying with strangers
@skater we still use most of our stuff, so not much waste. Can sell several items before we move next year. I can't drive yet and neither have the time to. Most possible way is new better paying job, or hobby on the side (i do little paintings)

Looking at posts from others, I have these breakdowns:
    - finance approval for ppor build - need the current job at least until settlement, then will see if i can get a contract job that pays better
    - settlement of land in november - deposit and stamp duty dues
    - PPOR build start and finish
    - flying several times in H1 2017 months to check the build
    - farewell party (well, bbq)
    - prep for interstate moving - removalist company then drive down for 10 hours
    - IP fixes
    - find new job in new state, one that will give me enough time to settle in first and pay superbly well o_O
    - make current PPOR an IP (gotta ask you for good PM ... or even airbnb it)
    - some holidays in between.... thinking WA long weekend and NZ long weekend
    - apply for my citizenship
    - savings and investing the moolah would happens along the way, kind of o_O

Ive got no problems with learning but the thought of uni makes me sick. I did start doing an online course and it was the most confusing, irrelevant, political rubbish I've been involved with unfortunately. For an education facility it seemed they were lacking in the smarts dept.
I will need to bite my tongue, play the game and try again :)

@Marg4000, you cheated. Your list is the same as mine. I summarised mine into a one liner as I am trying to shorten (no relation to the soon-to-be ex-leader of the ALP :) :)) my posts.

Finish PPOR, sell the last IP, preserve what I have during an upcoming crash. Probably get back into the workforce one way or another. This investment thing is pretty boring, :( time to shake my life a bit.

Oh dear. You have just described my uni :(

second time round I found this a lot easier to do. But yes, this is exactly what you need to do. Basically, play the game, do what is expected and get good marks even if you don't agree. It sounds grim but I found I could still get a lot out of my studies while doing all that.

what were you studying by the way?

I've just changed to a higher paying job so no purchasing any more properties for me in the short term. I had just settled on another property before changing jobs (don't want to go through that again, bad idea).

Main focus for me is getting on top of maintenance and renovating the current IPs, with a very remote outside chance of buying again before the end of the FY.

I might move rental properties myself in the next few months. Starting to see some really good discounts on rents in some inner city apartments around Brisbane. And if I ever pick up enough annual leave, I might sneak off overseas on a quick jaunt (overseas on work doesn't count).
