Can't wait forever for overseas travel so I'm taking the entire family in April to Sunshine coast, Surfers and Noosa. 10 of us in total so should be a nice trip.

Been googling places to visit but some of the best recommendations in the past has been from other people.

Where do you guys recommend going with family. Total trip 5 weeks.

So far I got Montville village and Aussie world theme park in Sunshine coast, movie and sea World in surfers, Emundi markets and hasting shops in Noosa. Plus beaches, national Park, Evaglades cruise.

Any other good recommendations for those 3 places would be appreciated. Thanks!

Australia Zoo is a great family day out.

Maleny is a nice day trip, quaint town and you can do Mary Cairncross Reserve which has amazing views across the Glasshouse Mountains. Kenilworth Falls walk if you like hiking and don’t mind steep rock stairs. Gardeners Falls is nice for a picnic but it might not be warm enough to swim in April - can also be a little dangerous so need to be cautious as a tourist drowned there only a few weeks ago.

Mount Coolum is a good walk (steep) but fabulous views from the top, just beautiful at sunrise.

The Australian surf titles are on in Maroochydore in mid April. Might be a bit tight for accommodation across this period.

    Have fun!

Don’t want to poohoo things but you might find Aussie World a bit disappointing ;). The other suggestions are great. The Noosa National Park walk is a must do, it’s busy but worth it. Stunning views. Noosa Main beach is really nice too, def the nicest beach on the coast but also the most crowded.

Yes, very pretty, great views and some nice cafes. There’s a nice park with a new playground and car park. Probably won’t fill a whole day but the drive from Montville to Mapleton offers some great views along the way.

A Maleny Dairies tour is also lovely for little ones and helps to support a great local business and there are excellent farmers markets at Kawana and Yandina on Saturdays and Noosa on Sundays. Definitely worth a visit.

Good you are coming to the Sunshine State. Welcome!

All the above are nice, and I agree with them all. Just bear in mind Queensland is huge! From Noosa to Surfers can probably take 5-hrs depending on traffic, so plan carefully.

Just at the top of my head:
    -Brisbane:
    CityCat
    Story Bridge
Southbank and the entire Cultural Precinct
    - O'Reilly
    - Mt Tamborine or Beechmont for paragliding
    - Little towns like Warwick, Stanthorpe, Toowoomva, Redcliffe

Maybe can fit in with some open house inspections or display home , smile.

Ah gotta stop got so much work to do. Let me know if you have specific interest.

If you had to choose one of the two Montville or Mapleton, which one would you choose to visit?

Honestly you could do Maleny, Montville and Mapleton in one day. Nothing much at Mapleton except the views but the main road goes through all three - they are very close together. I think it’s more the drive through the whole area with the lovely scenery and the interesting little stops along the way that make it a nice day out, rather than just the actual towns.

Oh also, will April be a lot cooler than Feb?

Last time I went to Noosa on mid Feb and the heat killed me!! I'm pretty sensitive to heat..

If you can. Do O’Reilly! It’s amazing. They have shows and walks for kids so wouldn’t be disappointed. If you go they take you to a few amazing lookouts. Moonlight crag and Moran falls are worth a walk. Very well lauded out and walks are comfortable. You can stay overnight (or more) there as well so no need to rush. Plus you can spit at NSW from heights of lamington range.

Glasshouse mountains are on the way. Don’t do all of them. But a few worth a visit. Mount NgunNgun or Beerburrum seems easy with kiddos.

Mt Cootha is nice, beautiful lookout. Botanic gardens at Mt Cootha are much nicer than ours in Sydney. I would skip Brisbane CBD botanic gardens.
