    You've covered both ends of the alphabet, the virus is only up to Delta - you'll be right for yonks.

    nothing wrong with AZ . Pretty close to 100 % effective at stopping you end up in ICU or dying. So far as I’ve , the doubles vaxed people who’ve died have been over 80 and had other serious health issues , an in that situation a bad flu can be fatal .

    @datto , I assume that you’re not over 80 and outside your liver , you’re ok ??

    no , there’s a whole pile of people under 18 who can’t have AZ who will prioritised over those over 60 who don’t think AZ is good enough for them …

    I’ve seen lots of people holding out for Pfizer , saying that they don’t go any where so they’re not at risk , but I’ve seen a few people in this group who’ve got sick and had to go to hospital.

    Also you have to go somewhere to get you’re vaccination . One of my kids who was holding out for Pfizer , went in for AZ only to be messaged two days later that someone at the pharmacy that days had just tested positive …

    My wife has been working on preparing an old bus owned by NSW Health to be used as a mobile vaccination clinic - it now has signage on it advertising walk-in vaccinations.

    While they've been working they've had plenty of people come up and ask when they can get vaccinated (they can't - this bus is being sent to Western Sydney to help vaccinate specific communities who have very low vaccination rates).

    One of them was a woman clearly over 60yo who insisted that she wanted Pfizer - she was told to see her GP for vaccination but was complaining that they only wanted to give her AZ. *sigh*

    There still seems to be a lot of hesitancy to get the AZ. Personally I'm happy that I had that instead of the Pfizer.

    A relative (under 40) booked and went there last week. They waited at the wrong place because there were 2 vax centres in Homebush. After an hour getting to the front of the queue, they scanned the code and told the booking was at the nearby centre. Went there and there was no queue and got the jab in less than 5 mins.

    At the first centre, each time I went there were 3 queues, each for different time groups (e.g. 3.15pm, 3.30pm, 3.45pm) and the queues were on 2 different sides of the venue. You had to make sure you were in the correct queue. I'm surprised nobody checked your relo.

    Probably not unless it becomes allowed as proof of vaccination .

    I spoke to a number that did just that, I was trying to tell them if they get covid in the interim, the side effects are worse than any likely vaccine side effect, still, it was fried on the brain...

    I know someone else still holding off, but they do have other issues, but seems a big risk to hold off....

    And then there is the brigade that think it is all fake, a conspiracy or just do not like doing anything they are told they should....no help for them, as the Danish guy said, the virus will seek them out....

    I think I'm fine. Although I have seen a GI surgeon who wants to "rip my gallbladder out and throw it in the bin" lol

    I like the quote from Jason Isbell , an alt country star who is going to require all people at his concerts to be vaccinated

    I'm all for freedom, but if you're dead, you don't have any freedoms at all.
