For the last 3 days I've found the site incredibly slow to load, and often it loads back to the Home page, or loads a blank page, and hitting refresh simply repeats the process - it also often comes up with an ERROR alert saying there is an error in the Javascript Console.
    Has anyone else struck this?
Is there a fix for it?

I haven't noticed this at all.

Does it occur for any other sites? Have you rebooted? Cleared cookies?

You might need a a quad core "V8" processor with a truck load cache memory.

Or try running updated antivirus. Could be a few nasty bugs there.

LOL - It's taken me almost 10 mins just to get from creating this thread to this reply.
I'll give both of those a go (hadnt cleared cookies) and see how it goes.
    Other sites are fine.

Thanks Datto, yes, my V6 petrol engine clunker may need to be traded up - a turbo deisel V6 180B? :D
Have done the anti-virus scans, but the other sites are ok.
The computer is only a few months old, and was working fine until 3 days ago on this site only.

I've noticed threads on Whirlpool forum load a lot faster than this site.

This site always loads pretty much immediately for me, so maybe your issues are a bit more local...

Going normal speed for me in Perth but my traffic might go a different route to you.

The best way to work out where the lag might be is to do a trace route to the PC server address and that may give some clues where it’s bogging down.

That level of computer knowledge is a bit beyond me.

It has improved slightly since I tried Geoff's suggestions, but the computer works fine for other sites and has done since I bought the computer - it's only this site, and only since about Wed.
    Weird.

Keeping it simple - install and use a new browser like Firefox.

It does happen sometimes. But I have not noticed it recently though.

That's cool. Here is a link on how to do it on a Windows - if you have a Mac then it's a bit different

What Is A Trace Route (Tracert)? How Do I Run One?

If you copy the information here we might be able to see where the issue is lying but it might not be fixable from your end - may just confirm where the issue is and if it's a network issue then it generally will be a known issue to the owner of that part of the network and they are working on it.

I've never had a problem with the loading speed in this forum.

Ah! You Mods get all the perks! :D
It's even dead slow in my phone,
    So can't be the devices?
Still get the "JavaScript Console error" on it as well.
    Hmmm.

What browser are you using? Is the same browser across devices? (I'd be guessing Chrome on desktop/laptop and phone.

    Have you tried another browser?

Your choices are (not all browsers are available for all devices): Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox (as @bunkai suggested), Opera, Safari - and a few more.

I'd be suspecting that it's the ads which cause the problems. And yes, one perk mods have is that we don't see them. I think that a paid community membership may enable you to avoid banner ads.
