Painter + Carpenter Recommendation in Melbourne Inner East

    folks -

    we are looking to fix some weatherboards as well as paint the property exterior. Covered area of the property is around 120 sq. meter. We got a quote from a company which does both (Paint + woodwork) but it seems to be a bit pricey e.g. Paint work has been quoted at $18,000 while weatherboards replacement (few of chipped/rotten ones) work has been quoted at $8,000 separately.

    We would like to get recommendation on how to approach this as being new home owners - not much experience with tradies in general and trying to get a recommendation so we can get multiple quotes for it. any help / recommendation would be great !

    Surprised the painting guy can't do the weatherboards.... o_O Is it single storey?
