One small step for myself, One giant leap for my family.

Hi all.
I stumbled across this forum about a week ago.
My wife and I are attempting to start our first steps in property development/investment.

a short background on myself.
im 30, my wife and I built our first house in 2010 in a new estate, lived there for 5 yrs and sold in the attempt to buy a cheaper house to lower our mortgage and buy a IP. we have now had a IP since august 2016.
the house we currently live in is a "doer upper" and we have slowly been renovating since moving in.
We plan on selling mid/late next year 2018. and move to our "forever-ish home". ( new, old , renovator. price. location. we don't know yet)
but before that we want to buy a block of land to subdivide and build duplex or something and sell
and continue developing and investing in the future.
hopefully taking this step can help us achieve that goal.

Have you checked out the Developments section? Had a quick look and there's some nice subdivision threads on there. There's plenty of experienced renovators and subdivers on here you can reach out. None come to mind but I'm sure you'll see them around when they write posts that are worth their weight in [insert construction material].
