    Hi,

I am selling an investment property and I'm just about to send my tenant a notice to vacate - by law they have 60 days. However, I am considering offering them $1,000 in writing, to leave within 30 days(they are currently in arrears $3,000 which would mean if they accepted, they would owe me $2,000).

Is this legal to do this in Victoria?

    Thanks.

What does your PM suggest ?

Better to word it like "I'm offering you a 28 day rent free period if you leave at the end of the 28th day".

By offering a monetary figure they will probably want the cash, then still not pay the arrears !
