    Great! I've already got it down to 5.2%....but leaving on a cruise in Feb, so will probably have more work to do when I get back.

    that is pretty impressive they call thatr 5 percenters not many in that club. the local doctors are 20 yrs behind in the treatment of diabetes.

    Yep! Most of the 'professionals' I've had contact with have been useless. Dr Google is my friend.

    Read up on the Newcastle diet.....you are put on very calorie diet to get rid of the visceral fat and fat around the liver which causes insulin resistance. This along with exercise and associated with weight loss can normalise BSL in most normal people who have been recently diagnosed.

    Some people have continued to keep the diabetes in check for over 30 years with just a small dose Metformin.
