This has been a barely noticeable election from my point of view. Although I don't view much free to air TV.

The lack of posts on the subject might indicate a general indifference to the election - or even to the NSW government, whatever the flavour.

I'm not even sure what would change if there is a change of government.

I wouldn't be surprised if a change brings about some changes to landlords or renters.

Perhaps the current government has had one too many encounters with dodgy people. If only for this, I'd suggest there's going to be an ALP government, although perhaps not a majority.

I'm viewing it as a Victorian with all I know coming through MSM. What stands out to me is how civilised it all is in NSW - this quote from ABC website:

This morning, the Labor leader said Mr Perrottet had run a positive campaign, focusing on political issues, rather than personalities.

and he has openly stated that the two like one another on a personal level. Contrast with Victoria where the Liberal side has a visceral hatred of Dan Andrews, whilst they, supported by Murdoch and Sky, run an endlessly negative narrative. During the worst of Covid Dan was able to have a good working relationship with Gladys whilst Vic Libs pursued negative policies. Result yet another election defeat.

I think Libs will get back in. People won’t look at Minns. They’ll think of Albo instead. And he’s too soft in my opinion.

Watch this space.come tomorrow night, Perro will pick up Minns and put him in the bins. Then he’ll hit the gym and enter a body building comp by July.

I think Labor - but with greens/ind holding balance of power.

As for the lack of interest - it feels very much like shuffling the deck chairs on the Titantic

For me, I would prefer a clear Labor or Liberal win, and not a minority government that relies on the Greens. You know what the Green wants, rental freeze!!!!

Perrottet was my local MP, but because of the electoral boundary change, I got Matt Kean now.

I actually don't mind Chris Minns, but I think he should have more conviction on a number of things. I think Liberal have far more vision than Labor. I feel that if Labor wins, nothing will get built, like the last NSW Labor government.

... And I believe he lifted Covid restrictions too quickly.

He became premier in October 2021, and most restrictions were lifted in December. The daily deaths started to rise a lot from mid January 2022, many of these in aged care homes.

While restrictions were certainly due to be lifted, I believe it was too much, too quickly.

I'm in Minns' electorate - and I don't mind him or Perrotet, but I'm not seeing much difference between them.

For me, the Labor soft touch on pokies means I'm voting for Troy Stolz.

I've no interest really, other than to cringe at the media coverage of both candidates the other night on Media Watch. It was cringeworthy and unbelievably naff... the stupid questions asked of each of them at the start of the debate. Absolutely ridiculous.

I voted early for Libs. Also pretty uninterested in the whole process. Not a great deal of faith in Libs. Even less with Labor.

Not mine....but only because my daughter is working in the head office of the elections and my best friend is managing one of the large regions, setting up all the different areas, doing the counts afterwards, etc.

But, other than that, I've not heard a peep about it.
