    Road trip to where? You can't leave Greater Sydney yet.

    People in Greater Sydney cannot travel beyond Greater Sydney for a holiday or recreational visits including day-trips.​

    See the Sackie family driving round and round the perimeter of Greater Sydney looking for any previously unexplored picnic area and photo spots. They could be lost in the Blue Mountains for a month at least.



    Greater Sydney includes the Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Shellharbour and Wollongong local government areas (see map)

    Dont see how people from Sydney will be caught travelling out of area .. :rolleyes: there will be some who will, which IMHO the government has calculated on and is using this as a filtering exercise. I think the most dangerous period will be now and up to the end of the January school holidays so my family and I will be extra cautious and behave as if we are still in lockdown .. :D

    There's no end to this pandemic. We're double vaxxed, got loads of masks, following the rules and off we go. Trust me I share your concerns but mental health is just as important. Anymore 5km lock up and I'll go crazy.

    Time to spread our wings, albeit if only in greater Sydney. Luckily greater Sydney is big and beautiful!:cool:

    And spare a thought for all the people living in LGAs of Concern. At least everybody else got 5km plus LGA. We only got to travel 5km, the LGA allowance came only a couple of weeks ago. My postcode with 33k population peaked at 10 cases. Many non areas of concern had case numbers significantly higher than this.
    And yes, due to the changing of council borders 2016 we were affected…. Otherwise we’d be in a huge non locked down council area, with loads of freedom, even up to Wisemans Ferry.

    Anyway, I got very acquainted with my local forest over the past 3 and a half months….
    Did we have beaches? No. Any place to go kayaking? No…

    I know that - but ask the residents at Nelson Bay how many out of towners have been caught a long way from their home, not by the police but by the locals who are not happy about the number of visitors in the town.
