    Hi

I'm completing renovations in a starta block and one of the clauses in the new bylaw being filed is about waterproofing having a warranty for 7 years.

Is this something that is usually offered by waterproofers? I've tried searching on google but couldn't find anything?

    Thanks!

Have a look at the Fair Trading website - gives you more about your rights and what you need to know.

Some of the waterproofing products offer a 10 year warranty on their product if installed correctly. In WA we used to use an applicator that then passed on this warranty.
I would suggest ringing up a few waterproofing applicators and seeing what they come up.

You would want to be fairly certain the company was going to be around in 7 years if there was an issue.

Is that like warranty on paint, when the paint peels off the paint company says the paint wasn't applied properly? Surface wasn't clean, not enough undercoat etc etc. Good luck with getting warranty from the waterproofing manufacturer :D
