    Hi Everybody,
I'm looking to furnish a house in Northern Brisbane.
Off the top of my head I'm looking to acquire:
    A fridge (max 180cm tall, 85cm wide)
    A good sofa/lounge set
    Curtains
    Washing machine
    (Maybe dishwasher)
    TV
    TV cabinet
    Trundle bed mattress
A bed and mattress (Queen or King preferred)
    Bins
    Rugs
    Cutlery
    Toaster
    Nice artwork

If anybody is moving from Brisbane and want to offload these items, please PM me!
I'd rather try to get most items from one location to make it easy.
In return I am happy to offer you some accommodation if you come to Sydney.

I think your best bet would be to use gumtree and check out all the upcoming garage sale listings. Might be able to make an offer prior to the actual sale if you're happy with what you see.

I did really well buying for a Sydney apartment in the past via gumtree but it's so much work sourcing things by trawling through listings, I just want it to be easy....

PS Not free nor willing to swap for accomodation

The best Gumtree options are where people are have been in Australia for around 2 years eg. for study, went and bought everything from Ikea and as they finished their studies they need to sell. That's the opportunity to grab. But finding these great listings on Gumtree is hard to do. I don't really want to buy one thing from home a, another thing from home b...etc...

Are you checking the 'garage sale' category? That's typically where you find the 'going overseas'/'downsizing' etc listings.
