Income replacement and life insurance as a start.

(And I wouldn't think it is a "forced vaccine". You still have a choice to work elsewhere.)

The care home my mother went into recently requires new residents to be vaccinated (not sure about existing residents).

Unlike many other European countries they haven't had to mandate here, almost all want to be vaccinated voluntarily, 98% health workers. France was 60% so presented a real risk they needed to mandate.

Long distance transport for sure should require vax passport.

The employer/employee workplace committee prepares a safe work method statement (SWMS or JSA) for the task based on the hierarchy of risks (not arbitrary).

Elimination - this is the preferred method by worksafe (would involve redesign of work processes &/or vaccination)

PPE is the lowest level of protection.

I agree, but even vaccinated long distance drivers can still carry and pass it on. It's tricky.

I guess either way (ok this is the sceptic in me) the insurance companies will cover themselves to be able to minimise payouts....
    1. covid - you were warned and didn't take the vax
    2. vax side effect - you gave informed consent. It was your choice.....

Exisiting aged care residents have had the choice whether to get vaccinated or not. They couldn't evict residents.

A number of outbreaks have been caused in high risk areas by people who should have been vaccinated but weren't - where there was a strong suggestion but not an absolute mandate that they be vaccinated. People have died as a result.

We don't have the technology yet for automatic drone trucks, do we? We need to work out how to stop long distance truck drivers spreading this all over the place, whether they are vaccinated or not.

It would worthwhile to check the PDS on your policy to see how they would treat this.

A mandate doesn't have to be "no jab, no job". It maybe a cash payment. Or a day off, paid upon presentation of a jab card. (Or perhaps two days off, one for each jab). Or some other form of motivation.

All this could be made so much easier if everyone just got the jab.

I believe most eventually will from sheer necessity to not be excluded from our world. It's such a no brainer. Does anyone actually think they'll be able to have access to living the same life they are used to without being vaccinated?

    No chance imho.

    I know you're trying. ;)

It is the ones who aren't trying, who are totally refusing to listen to the science, are instead listening to scaremongering and/or social media "personalities" that I just don't understand.

They will be first to take up a bed if they get sick though.

Even our local newspaper yesterday had a heading about school children and vaccination advice, that was pure clickbait, and totally misleading. I can't recall the wording, but it was so wrong.

So when you say listen & trust the science/scientists .....Do you.....

    Trust the Tobacco industry scientists?
    Trust Coca-cola scientists?
    Trust Opioid scientists?
Trust the Animal Factory Farming scientists?
    Trust the Coal industry scientists?
    Trust the Big Oil scientists?
    Trust the Fracking scientists?

Or....... just the ones the media tells you to trust?

Which media are you referring to? Newspapers and the like or articles on these subjects made available by universities and other research institutions?
