I read AFR these days. SMH is pretty biased.

We used to have the Weekend Australian delivered but the accounting system was so hopeless, that I gave up trying to sort it out and cancelled the delivery but we often still buy it if we are out and about.

I don't really miss a weekend paper now. In fact, I used to feel a bit of pressure if I hadn't read them by Sunday night. That might be a little bit of OCD I think.

My SIL has a pile of papers on a kitchen chair up to her ceiling that she cannot throw out until she reads them. That is a big OCD problem.

I read the online Daily Telegraph (subscription download)during the week and always buy the Sunday newspapers, although they seem to be now full of adverts:rolleyes:

usually i switch between the Sydney Morning Herald and the Sunday Telegraph

love reading my newspapers on a Sunday Morning on my sunny balcony drinking my cappuciono and having my smashed avocado on toast whilst having a morning view over the early morning crowd going home from Kings Cross:)

They use to have a great Financial liftout section by Noel Whitaker once but it seems Entertainment and Social pages are more popular nowadays.

I subscribe to the Age, print delivered, and on work at home days read the others over a coffee at the library.

Only read a proper newspaper at the cafe. The rest of my news I get online. Hard to get balance these days. The papers are either leftie or rightie, nothing really down the middle. I do like reading the Financial Review though. They have some excellent writers.

I avoid the news. Occasionally I'll read the local paper but usually they sit in the driveway getting soggy.

Mine is 200m away from home and its coffee shop is run by a non-profit that works with disadvantaged young people to get them employable Wheelly Good Coffee so I'm very happy to patronise it.

I still use the local free delivered newspapers to clean the BBQ weekly.

So I hope they don't go bust.

If I come across it, I still like to buy the local Saturday paper both because it's got well covered local news - not just Sydney stuff - and to support the local journalists ... but mainly because I like the two mega crosswords and find-a-word for a lazy afternoon

I only read the paper in a bar sometimes (La Vanguardia), I don´t buy it anymore. I don´t read El Pais, Spanish state propaganda ****. Australia is lucky to not have such one sided state media propaganda arms (no, the ABC doesn't come close).

Why ? CNN is one of the most international and comprehensive news organisations. The "fake news" slur is fake news itself from the real rubbish like Fox and its deluded followers.

I read somewhere that to be cured of reading newspaper's , read only the ones that are six month old as most these days are in between the crowing separation of the influencers creating quality content that's free advertising for brands, and what's ethical and legal..
