Hi my husband and I bought our home about 10 years ago. It's in Melbourne south east. We bought it with the aim to develop it into sub lots and homes on it. Unfortunately financials haven't been favourable and we haven't been able to secure enough to develop it on our own. I would like some advice on how to get a property developer who will help to develop the property - financially and services. And we split the profits from sale. Alternatively if the land is developed into two or four townhouses then each of us take two properties to sell.

I know my question may sound a bit naive but I am just after some sound advice to help. Thank you.

We looked at doing a JV for a similar project and if you google "Joint venture property development Melbourne" you'll find some hits. Just be very careful and do lots of homework and get a good lawyer to look over everything before taking anyone on.
