According to everything I should have "more" time but the reality is that it's not really true for many.

Whilst I've freed up the time I used to spend driving to school/sports/meetings I'm now also supervising schooling from home, engaging in online meetings, having to do my own grocery shopping, supervising the kids do Zoom meetings for instrument + gymnastics, spend three times as long marking up and explaining changes to designs that could have been done 1 on 1 with a designer etc etc

Yep.. I have the same issue. I used to be able to simply drive kids to an activity place and handover them. Not anymore!
With 3 kids, sometimes I feel as tech guy/handyman running around fixing all stuff until they go to sleep! Often, need to solve teacher's zoom/google classroom issues as well.
At least, there is no new projects starting at work.

Since all the indoor climbing gyms are closed, we discovered there's a market fir hangboards that you can hang from a tree.
So hubby is designing a template he can use to make a bunch of them to sell - combine a hobby (woodworking) with generating an income!

    I'm with you

W moved from the farm to suburbia last week, so the two hours I used to spend driving to and from school, is now spent walking the dogs ... also have a large garden overhaul underway

On a plus ... have lost a dress size is a week

I've picked up a 'Nanna craft' (crocheting) - it's always intrigued me, but never done it. Yesterday, thanks to YouTube, I made 2 squares.

But most of this coming week will be prepping for 'return to school - Term 2 - online style'. I'm having to rewrite entire units of work, plus come up with novel ways to teach everything via a digital format. With 6 classes, across 6 year levels (from 7-12), and 3 different subject areas, there is a lot of preparation work involved.

That's one almighty effort considering that this IS a property forum and IIRC a square is 10' x 10' (or about 90m²)

TBH, it might be easier to be with 3 kids than 1 kid. I don't really need to engage them all the time. They are happy to be left alone so they can play games themselves.
They play a game called Roblox online game with their cousins.
