    Hi all

    Can anyone tell me how long it typically takes to register a foreign business in Australia?

    I have been offered a position with a company and they are waiting for the ABR to be completed and would like to psy me as a contractor until tbe ARB is ready.

    Can anyone provide me any advise re the above.

    Do you mean get an ABN?

    It can be instant or up to about 4 weeks.

    99% of ABNs or ARBNs are issued in real time. Structuring and legal issues may take weeks

    Doesnt sound right to me to make you contract. I call BS

    you musn't have registered a foreign branch before. I have. takes ages and for valid reasons.
