Ted's talks are good if you have only 20 mins. You don't necessarily be the experts in those fields to understand many talks.

Not Netflix but watched 'Ex Machina'. Great movie. Looks into a number of issues with Artificial Intelligence. Amazing acting.

Also started watching 'The Fall'. 2 episodes so far. Great series.

Just finished watching The Fall (both seasons) and Nachos. Fantastic TV series.

I never knew Pablo Escobar was so brazen in Columbia. I am happy that most of the dialogues are actually in Spanish rather than English.

It's actually Narcos, not nachos. Narcotraffickers, not people who eat imitation Mexican food ;-)

The lead of Narcos actually had to learn Spanish to get the part. Apparently it's not the broad accent of that region in Colombia, but the Spanish i very good.

I've only seen two episodes so far- and from what I've read, he was far more brazen than is shown in the series.

Watched the first episode of Limitless last night. It's looks *okay* but not committing to saying much, since the last five minutes showed that it has the potential to be a huge fail.

    Hopefully not.

    So far I'm enjoying it.

But it's not an indication of Medellin now. It's a safe modern city these days. I loved my three months working there.

Good to hear it got better. Can't believe how much chaos him and the medellin cartel caused considering they had already made so much money.

Hey all, right now you can get 30 years worth of Getflix for only $35USD by looking at the link below:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/212663

I've just bought it and it definitely works! Now my subscription lasts until 2045!!!!! This is a great deal!

Getflix is a must if you have Netflix subscription as it allows you to watch any region of Netflix catalogue. It also unblocks many streaming channels that are not available in Australia.

What a long thread, not sure whether this series has been mentioned - Homeland, absolutely loving it, up all not watching this one.

Thanks @Be Developer for recommending this one, looks like I will be having some more late nights.

    MTR:)

OK I'm going to sound a bit dumb here (for a change). My tablet is set up as a mobile phone. I've spent ridiculous amounts in the last couple of months downloading movies and tv shows. Does it cost less to stream with netflix?
Going out now to try and catch some public wifi. Was asked not to download in the telstra shop today.  Help. How do you not spend megabucks on this?

It will always cost more if you stream video (actually, anything) whilst using mobile data, so you need to turn it off. I don't use mobile data, only wifi hotspots or home network, so mine's almost always turned off. You should be able to do this with any tablet as well.

    Thanks - I don't have a home network set up. That's what I need to do. :)

I've been watching Marvel's Jessica Jones from Netflix .... Excellent show as it is pretty tense. Kilgrave is very creepy indeed.

Finished Narcos. Colombian kingpin Pablo Escobar's life story. Never felt slow.

I watched the first episode. I didn't enjoy much. TO be fair, I didn't like the early episodes of sense8 either but it got really interesting later.

This is my top list so far.
    1. House of Cards (watched together)
    2. Narcos (myself)
    3. Sense8 (together)
    4. Orange is the new black (myself)
    5. Falling Skies (myself)

If you've watched House of Cards, try the BBC trilogy of the same name. It takes a while to get into initially, but well worth doing so. It's older than the US version, and the production is quite dated- but it's interesting to see the parallels and the differences from the US show
