    I don't like that spotlight at all. It reminds me of the 90s. The light fitting in the kitchen in the first photo seems to have plaster cornice frame. If so, I'd try to keep that and leave the fluro there rather than muck about with it.

    Id paint the cabinets and the kickboard white. And put in a new table. And thats it. Looks nice enough.
