    We just watched:

    13 Cameras
    14 Cameras
    Late Night
    Gifted

All 4 were fantastic (Yes between the 2 series and 4 movies we binged this weekend we pretty much did nothing else lol).

We also got half way through Driven (The John DeLorean story) and so far it's pretty good, it has a bit of a Wolf of Wallstreet feel to it but that may just be the era it is set in.

"On Becoming a God in Central Florida" is a dark comedy starring award-winning actress Kirsten Dunst that takes place in a small town that is adjacent to Orlando in the early 1990s. Dunst plays Krystal Stubbs, a minimum wage employee at a waterpark who is looking for a better life. To reach her goal, she lies, cheats and cons her way up the ranks of Founders American Merchandise (FAM), a cultish pyramid scheme that ruined her family in the first place. As Krystal dives deeper into FAM, things take on a very serious turn as the business begins to affect everyone that is close to her.

... and that is why I haven't been to the "movies" since the female Ghostbusters (junior wanted to go and she was not impressed - worst 2 hours of my life) ... there has absolutely nothing that intrigues me enough to go out of my way and, if it's really something really worth watching I'll wait for the DVD - don't ask how many times I've watched the new Star Trek movies in the comfort of my sofa

... or wait for the next OS trip. Watched entire last season of GoT on the last flight

Good movie and very poignant message right at the end.

I used my Cinema budget last month to take Mum to see Downton Abbey. But like Lizzie, I prefer to snuggle up on the sofa at home to watch movies on my TV.

We like to get out to go to the movies, just so that we get out a bit.

Many cinema groups have discount clubs. And seniors are cheaper again. On Mondays, a movie costs us $4.50 - and if we see four movies, we can get another one for $1 (and not just on Mondays).

Ride Like a Girl was enjoyable - the scenes shot during the race were impressive, and the cinema sound created an impact.

For the fans of Breaking Bad, there's now El Camino on Netflix.
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019) - IMDb
Which picks up where Breaking Bad finished.

I'm about ⅓rd of the way through. So far, so good ... just waiting to see where it goes.

Yesterday it rated 8.8 on IMDb with thousands of ratings, today it's down to 8.1 - which is a bit suspicious really.

Edit. 20 hours later. Rating is 7.9 now. And I was disappointed in the movie.

I watched El Camino too, think it was about a 8.5/10. Like an extended BB eps. I think the hype + nostalgia set people's expectations quite high.

Also watched Joker on the weekend, would definitely recommend.

    "Ride Like a Girl"
Both hubby and I love this movie, which we didnt expect because it was a free ticket.
The act was superb and the son with Down Syndrome was played by the real brother!
Everything and everyone is so natural.
Love Sam Neil , the rugged country side, the home, the gents, and most of all, the horses.
Neither of us go to races or Tab but had thoroughly enjoyed the show. And would encourage all of you to watch it.

Yes, we very much enjoyed Ride Like a Girl.

The shots from the middle of the horse races were particularly well done.

    The Panama Papers

A widow (Meryl Streep) investigates an insurance fraud, chasing leads to a pair of Panama City law partners (Gary Oldman and Antonio Banderas) exploiting the world’s financial system. Steven Soderbergh directs.

    - the Partners of the law firm that were exposed in the Panama Papers leak have launched a defamation action over a movie based on the scandal. Jurgen Mossack and Ramon Fonseca say that the Netflix movie The Laundromat portrays them as “ruthless, uncaring lawyers who are involved in money-laundering, tax evasion, bribery and/or other criminal conduct” and they want the movie halted.

Watched Last Christmas with the wife. It was actually pretty good, would recommend for anyone looking to get into the festive spirit early!

    Anyone seen Ford v. Ferrari?
