mortgage discharge

It took my local branch an entire week to pass on my complaint letter to Head Office. I was issued a reference number this Wednesday.

ok update.

apprently a replacement title has been ordered on the 24th march. and takes 48 hrs to process, what happens after this then??

 

First they will misplace this replacement title, and then they won't be able to find the discharge of mortgage again.

 

so i just got an update, apparently the titles office will be organizing a replacement title and is going to take 2 weeks, so the whole "scrap the 1st title" is true.

lucky i have a mate that works in the titles office and hopefully can push it through faster.

Its ok i found the number. I have lodged a complaint and said i want to be compensated for the BS!!!!

In terms of compensation what would i be expected to get from it all??

Ahhh yours truly Cause im trying to refinance the house with equity release so i can use my equity to pay for the wedding dress and the bank has stopped this by scrapping the title and this has slowed everythibg

 

You would have had to pay for the dress anyway so no loss there. Any other extra expenses incurred?

 

NAB are terrible. Just did a partial discharge and the first discharge authority was sent in December. Loan settled early March after multiple times denying that they didn't receive the DA despite having a receipt of discharge authority being sent. Furthermore, NAB stuffed up the settlement and only discharged 1/2 loan accounts and only provided 1 payout figure to the new institution. Therefore, customer was left with 1 NAB loan which should have been closed and paid out at settlement and surplus funds with the new lender despite refinancing $ for $.

Discharge authority also stated two loans were to be discharged.

Took 3 months to settle and another couple of weeks to sort out the discharge of the second loan split which is a record for me.

NAB are a pain to deal with especially when there is a business banker involved as the discharge needs to come from the business banker...

 

Hey Steven, our Nab credit cards are cancelled. The letter arrived today. Do you still need that letter four months later?

 

I've never had to refiancè a loan. Is that like getting a pre-nuptial divorce?
