    I remember visiting Moreton Island and Tangalooma - it was nice and I'd see how it would be attractive to buy there as a weekender or somewhere to retire. However it looks like like you are at the mercy of the island resort company which can charge you whatever it likes for providing essential services

    Tangalooma's island paradise becomes a 'nightmare' for some property owners
    It looks like people have built their own properties and are now taking a hit on both the fees as well as the effects on the resale value

    Anyone on the forum know about the happenings first hand?

    Hmmm.... so im guessing Hamilton Island would face the same issues potentially in the future.
